Accuracy first
Calendar facts (Lunar New Year dates, solar terms, month pillars) are computed with the open-source sxtwl astronomical calendar library and checked against known reference dates. Historical and demographic claims cite primary or academic sources where possible, such as World Bank demographers and published Japanese birth statistics.
How we treat astrology
Chinese astrology is a cultural tradition, and we write about it as one. We use phrases like "traditionally", "practitioners read" and "in Chinese astrology". We never say something will happen to you. Where practitioners disagree, for example on Tai Sui lists or lucky colors, we show the disagreement instead of picking a winner. We don't give medical, financial, legal or fertility advice.
How sign forecasts are built
Our sign-level readings use two classical tools: the traditional relationships between Earthly Branches (clash, harmony, trine, harm, break, penalty) and a simplified Five Elements comparison. We show this method on every forecast page and compare our reading with at least one published forecast.
Product reviews
Every statement about a product is labeled as one of four things: verified by us (with the date), a vendor claim, our observation, or a user report (only real, attributable ones). We don't publish fake testimonials, invented ratings or unverifiable "expert" credentials. We say what we haven't checked.
AI assistance
We use AI tools to help with research, drafting and code, including the date calculations. Every page is reviewed and edited by the site editor before publication, and facts are checked against the sources listed on the page. We don't present AI-generated text as the work of a named human expert.
Updates and corrections
Time-sensitive pages (monthly forecasts, the product review) are reviewed at least monthly while the Horse year runs, and each page shows its last-updated date. If you spot an error, email [email protected]. We correct factual errors promptly and note significant corrections on the page.
